    Hey, Im new

    Hello everyone,

I just signed up with TestMagic and am excited to talk with some people about all of my confusion. I am currently in the process of starting my applications for admission to college in '08. I am looking at a lot of UCs but do not know which ones would be my best chance for being admitted. I have around a 4.2 GPA but my SATs were not that great. Any comments? Thanks.

-My first choice is UC Davis!

you still have a bit of time...
for colleges in your situation with a 4.2 *jealous look*
i would think that you're most likely in pretty good shape,
of the colleges you pick, unless you're going to be in the "undecided" situation for a major, just check with the colleges you're planning for and that they have the major/field you're into.
The SAT problem, you could retake it to wipe the old not so good one off your slate and replace it with a fresh and new better one.
But yea, UC davis is a good pick, but for this point in time, pay some visits to the colleges on your mind, they may have a good public reputation but if the campus life/surroundings don't suit you, at some point those hidden factors may be trouble later on.You could also take a look at UCLA and UCB, those are some of the schools looking in to candidates with strong academic records.
