Pinging INSEAD Aspirants...

Hi,

I just saw a thread where people were talking about their aspirations for INSEAD... Just wanted to start a debate on INSEAD and its comparison with other US business schools... I know there are several threads spread everywhere around the internet... But I am still kind of confused...

I don't have any doubts about INSEAD's quality but I have several reservations about its network in US and its speciality... I also like the fact that fees are lesser and duration of being out of work force is minimal...


What I wanted to know is:

1 . What actually is your career goal after getting an MBA from INSEAD? I was thinking something like a career in Venture Capital... But most of the US companies I have browsed through, none of the partners is from INSEAD. Are grads from INSEAD not trained enough for VC or they are concentrated in Europe only ?

2. Are there any top 10 international programs with accelerated MBA spread over mere 10-12 months ?

3. Do you know someone graduating from INSEAD. Have you tried getting his opinion on INSEAD and its alumni network. (By those 80 K dollars paid, we are actually buying almuni network. rest of the stuff is secondry.)
