Thumbs up Anxiety !!!

Hi there fellow testmagicians.

I want to know how to deal with this devil named anxiety while taking the GMAT. I get a good score while taking independent sections but the same falters as I take a comprehensive test. The stress is all to much to handle.

Friends, pls suggest how to deal with this menace.

thanks you all

Keep giving GmatPrep tests at home one after the other daily if possible or on alternate days. The breaks should be exactly how it's there on the actual Gmat. The stress will go down with practice with full tests adhering to time limits. You can also try some deep breathing exercises before the test begins and if possible in the breaks.Best of Luck.

yo Karta,

What normally works is telling yourself over n over again during the exam is that 'just take these 10 questions at a time and don't worry about the rest' and try and give your best for set of 10 questions each. Helps u stay focused as well as keeps track of time in a better way.

Hi,
You did get a good score while taking independent sections. It sounds good. I forget to ask that whether those good performance in independent sections in timed-conditions or not. If yes, you have advantage. When will you intend to take the test? I find that for people who have kind of obsess about time, it should be convenient all the time (the feeling). Studying in your best mood and best location. However, if you don't have problem for pressure of time, planning ahead of time will be a good hint for a success later. I am not sure though because I didn't try the second one yet. But I hope you have a good planning.
