Read this thread before I joined. And read your blog too...in fact I got very inspired, and I started my blog too....something to keep myself focus and to express my thoughts like a diary. My favorite line was "The date is approaching fast. No longer do I see the sun setting or rising. Day and night do not make a difference." So sensual hehehe...

just one q,
given og/gmatprep and real GMAT which one is more difficult quantwise ? I guess you are pretty strong in quant but for someone in 46-48 range whats thy opinion ?

GMatPrep is definitely at the same level. I found that in OG also as you progress, the questions do become a little difficult. So, if you score 46-48, the questions towards the end will be a good practice.. (specially some of the coordinate geometry ones...). You can see it by yourself when you are attempting the questions in a timed scenario. I timed myself when I solved OG. While I averaged about 70-80 sec per question initially, I struggled to maintain 120 sec/question later.

Hi all,
I'm a recent member of this forum. I plan to give my GMAT this year but have not started any preparation till now? Considering that its early July right now, would late September be a good time to give the GMAT. I will be able to prepare full-time as I just left my job. I had been working as a software developer for Microsoft for the past 2 yrs. If I give this exam in late September, will I have enough time to apply to various colleges? |

Yes, september will give you sufficient time to prepare as you will be preparing for this full time. However, that will leave you with tight timelines on your applications depending on what schools are you planning to apply to.
