I don't think you can map the number of incorrect or correct answers to the sectional score. Since GMAT is an adaptive computer test, the level of questions increases as you get the answers correct. Once you reach higher levels you will get more difficult questions as compared to earlier ones. As a result your accuracy may go down, unless those questions are also easy for you.
Eventually your accuracy stabilizes, e.g. one in every two correct for all further questions. Your level at that state will decide your sectional score. In short, it's better to get half of the tougher questions correct than to get most of the easy answers correct. For best results avoid making mistakes in earlier questions because they decide your comfort zone / level. |
