GMAT score:700 Quant-48,Verbal -37..chances of getting to IIMs exc. pgms

Hi Everybody,

Today I took GMAT and scored 700.My query is whether I'm eligible to get a call for executive programme in IIM A,C or ISB,Hyderbad.I have amost 5 yrs of experience.Somebody told that for female candidates anything above 700 is good enought to get call , but is it true?

Great Score Dips, Congratulations!

As you know GMAT is one part of you portfolio. The essays, references, work experience, past education track record all add to your chances.

In my personal opinion you stand a good chance for IIM's. If you review their student profiles you will see an average GMAT score. I am not sure if they have seats reserved for males or females so I am not sure if your being female impacts you chances postively or negatively.

I think IIM is difficult.. IIMA ask for 27 yrs of age.. I am going to miss it this year by 2 months and I am not going to wait for another year..
I think that a good work profile of 5 years with female will make your application competetive for ISB.. You have good chances in ISB..

I guess questions like this belong to a different forum - anyways to answer min req of IIM A is 27 years, IIM C is 5 year workex and this is at the time of joining. Other than that, it depends on your application and interview.

I am from ahmedabad, India and there is an IIM here as you all know

I happen to know many people there, and as far as my knowledge is, i dont think there is an age limit of 27

Many people have been admitted there, even with no work experience. ( Yes, i currently have 2 frnds studying there with absolutely no work ex)

May be thy friends are doing 2 years PGP programme,which doesn't need exp..I am looking forward to 1 year executive programme.I am currently 27 , with 5yrs of exp..If you can get some info, do let me know,,

There is a age limit for its PGPEX program.. i know it because I am not eligible this year - just by 3 months.... I have tried my ways but couldn't get them accept my application.. I have 5 years work exprience.. I do not understand their 27 years concept.. It sounds stupid to me but what can I say? finally it is IIM-A..
