Practice SC. Practice a lot. critical reasoning and RCs are relatively easy to handle. BTW how were the reading comprehension passages? Going by my GPREP test, I have seen that when I am not doing good, the reading comprehension passages tend to get smaller and easier. Did you see anything like that?
I didn't try to notice any question patterns based on the performance. There were 3 short and 1 long passage. The longer one was tough due to tricky questions. Rest of all, I would say were very standard.

I agree with finsisher about the first 10-15 questions. These question decide your fate. If you get really tough questions in the first 20, you should be happy because that means you are doing good. But if you do bad in the first 10-15( including consecutive wrong answers, thats a nightmare) then even if you might get tough questions towards the end, the damage has already been done. Its difficult to make up towards the end.
3 short passages does signal relatively easy questions. I have read about people getting a huge reading comprehension passage within the first 10 questions itself and they did good in verbal.
I have been reading a lot about how to beat the test. Preaparation is 80% rest 20% is how you approach the test( work smart not work hard ). I don't believe in luck. One example I can give you is, if you have to guess, dont guess twice consecutively. Never miss an easy question, GMAT wont spare you on this . There are lot of other tips and tricks involved. After all GMAT is nothing but a computer algorithmn and to beat it you need to know how it works.

Frankly speaking, I could not believe this is your debrief.
I used to wait for your questions specially in critical reasoning section! Did you get a solid reading comprehension somewhere during question 6-7 ? and please let me know from where did you take your test?

and hopefully now you understand that why GMAT is synonymous to that other word that "rhymes with luck"

Yeah, I was most strong in critical reasoning followed by SC. I did many LSAT critical reasoning's from 1000 critical reasoning which increased my skill above GMAT level and would recommend anyone anytime.

And infact, I got LSAT like critical reasoning's in the test but they were quite easy when compared to ones in 1000 critical reasoning. Although they were tough by GMAT standards.

I did got reading comprehension but that was short one in 1-10 questions. I got longer one towards mid 20-30 questions.

As others pointed out, I might have got questions wrong in the beginning, but I am not thinking about it anymore.

I took the test from Hyderabad, it has only one Pearson center.

Hey Madhur,

Come on man .. this score does not reflect your level !!! You have to beat this test !!!

I would suggest you to give it one more shot, but within one month because you are already prepared for the test. The preparation is one part, but an equally important part is to apply all those strategies that you learnt into the final exam. I would suggest you not to get complacent until you finish the whole exam.

All the best for your next attempt. (I believe that you will do much better in your next attempt)
