Even I am shocked. I learned so many things from you.
Its just your bad day. Don't discourage....its your chance to come back stronger. Give a chance to your knowledge and ability. Don't do injustice with them.

I'm not sure what has happened here.. A few days ago it was shocking to see Abhishek's score and now its a real shocker !!!
![]() By no means I'm close to the above two lads, but I used to get my verbal score in the range of 35-40... when I gave my GMAT, I got a mere 24 ![]() Worst was the fact that I was under illusion that I'm marking right answers. With both Abhi and Madhur - their debrief also suggests that in their opinion Verbal wasn't that bad but scores tell a different story. Has something changed quite dramatically in Verbal section? I can't find a co- relation between OG12 and GMAT verbal, but honestly seeing a 24 in verbal banked me and i could not remember anything related to verbal section. Its hard for me to believe that both Gents had an off day and with their GMAT dates so close, I think that something has changed in verbal which we are not aware of !! |

This is truly unbelievable!! I wonder whether the computer program malfunctioned on your test station that day while you were taking the exam.
I agree with everybody who have commented. You should give it another try. Give it in exactly one month from today! This time, just focus on OG and the Manhattan GMAT study guide. I believe that you are well prepared. Your Manhattan GMAT scores were awesome and indications of your level. It must have been your bad luck because I cannot imagine what else would have made you score 19 if not bad luck. If you are going to give it up anyways, why not just give it another try, one last try. Like Abhishek said, let fate decide this time. |

i'm together with the rest of the guys here. we're sorry for the score you got considering the performance you had prior to the test.
at the same time though.. you can think of it this way. GMAT is only an exam. An importnat exam of course but still.. it's just an exam. Reconsider your goals again about MBA.. which schools you want to go, et. al. If your target schools don't demand 700+ scores, then scoring well on GMAT would simply be an icing on the cake. If on the other hand you think you really need to score higher to get into a program that you REALLY NEED, why don't you try the test again. perhaps next time you take it you'll get a better grip on verbal. i agree with some of the guys here.. given the same preparation, your test score could still vary depending on luck factor. my long 2-cents. bretania PS: I'm also planning on taking the test early next week.. and already, i could not sleep last night because of stress, et. al. |
