700: Wondering if I should retake my GMAT

Quant-->49
Verbal-->38

I feel like i have been robbed with my quant score, because when i was taking my quant, i felt as if it was a cake walk, maybe i got overly casual about it and made stupid mistakes or maybe i screwed up in the beginning somewhere. An advice, no matter what, dont let your guard down when taking GMAT.
I have a 3 years work ex. and have a Masters Degree in EE from US.
How good or bad is this score?
I would be mostly applying to univ in Asia, NUS, NTU, HKUST likes.

Any help or recommendations would help me make a decision soon.

700 is a good score, especially when everybody is talking about changing pattern of GMAT...

what were your prep scores....could you please share your strategy....how good is the GMAT prep as indicator of scores? is the questions are of similar pattern of they are tough?

Thanks.

I believe u don't belong to the Indian IT male , working in Indian IT industry pool or jobless wall street I-Banker role...therefore, 700 shud be enuf for schools u have metioned as well as some of the top US schools.

Yea I am neither. But, I still used to get decent scores on Preps.

GMAT Prep 1--->730
GMAT Prep 2--->740
GMAT Prep retake 1 ---->760 (70% questions were new)

I am damn disappointed with my quant score. Anyway, i dont want to rub it further. As long as this score is good enough to "not" be rejected, i am fine.

As far as my prep recommendations go:
1) Use Manhattan GMAT exams as they are good indicators, dont get (insert demonstrative pronoun here)-heartened with the number of mistakes u make. And VERY important, analyse your mistakes. This will help you avoid them in the future. Infact, it is always good to make mistakes during practice to avoid making them in the main test.
I suggest, take all 6 tests. They have a very good system where you can analyze your mistakes comprehensively, based on sections.
2) It has been repeated umpteen times that GMATPrep is a good indicator. In my case, however, things did not work out. I guess, I lost momentum after my essays and like i said before, I relaxed. Dont do that, be vigilant. Scrutinize each question, especially the initial ones before committing to the answer.

Most of the tests are waste of time, nevertheless, you should still take some of them. These tests build your endurance to sustain 3.30 hrs of rigor on the test day.
Princeton: Pathetic Quant, good verbal
Kaplan: Good Quant, Tough Verbal (verbal is waste of time)

I will be glad to answer any questions!!!
