750 (Q51, V39). Interesting that Q51=98%, not 99%!

My DS questions were Comparable to toughest questions of OG - did not encounter ANY problem, for which solution was not obvious after 5secs of thinking

MUCH easier than manhattan's killing questions

Week after the exam I got the AWA 5.5.
Prepared 2 days, wrote 3 types of each essays, used combined template (compiled from several templates)

I think it's because of the simple definition of a percentile. One way to look at it is your Q 51 with the 98% percentile means that 2% of the people taking the test scored a 51 or higher.

its also interesting that I have same Quant and verbal scores but my combined score was reported to be 740.

I think it is possible to score more than 51, i had read sumwer that it is possible to score a max of 60 marks, nd 51 is the highest any1 has ever scored yet. but dont know how much of this is true.
I gav the gmat a couple of days back. got a 710. but i hav absolutely no clue on how to shortlish universities for applying.
can any1 help me??

Welett, when did you took the exam? What were your percentiles?

Even i got 98 for a score of 51.
Looks like people are smashing quant like anything these days.

And yes it is possible to get more that 51.
In fact i had got a forward sometime back of a copy of score report of a guy who had a 800, splits being q52, v49.
