Neways.. can u guys tell me if this quant score is going to hurt my chances for getting into a good school? I have 5+ yrs of work exp and have a masters in Computer science form Ga Tech with a 3.9 GPA. I am targetting Wharton,Haas,Fuqua and Darden. |

Congratulations on getting a very good score! I think your score, work exp, and your 3.9 GPA will get you into a very good school, but a higher Q score and hence higher overall score will increase your chance for the schools you're targeting. I'm sure Wharton and Haas have a class average > 710 since Stern and Columbia are such cases; besides they look for balanced Q and V scores - I think Columbia posted its Q and V averages, which are above 80%.
Then again, I know it's hard to decide whether to retake since 710 is already a very good score. So the question is how confident you are to get a higher score next time. If you're confident, I would suggest you take it again. |
