740 (Q49, V42)

Hi!

I took the GMAT this morning for the second time (I got 710 Q48 V40 on first attempt), really scared of doing worse than the first time, but eventually I got 740 and I am very happy

After my first attempt about one month ago, I started working with the Kaplan CD, and it really helped me. The tests on this CD are way more difficult than on the GMAT Prep software, and even if the scores you get with Kaplan are a bit demoralizing, it really improves your final score! It also helped me get rid of my poor time management in the quant section, as on the CD there are several batches of 16 quant questions you have to go through in only 25 minutes.

By the way, I saw on the forum that some people had the same quant and verbal scores as me, but a total of 750. Is this normal?

the Kaplan CD helped me for both the quant and the verbal section.
The verbal questions in the Kaplan tests are really tough, and getting tougher questions is a good way to improve!
