Got 520 - Completely Devastated....SUggestions please
3G3 b 46
I gave my GMAT yesterday and got a score of 520. Q - 27 (I never thot in any of my worst dreams tht i most humbly and respectfully would get a Q score like this) V - 34 The Quant questions were ok , slightly difficult than the power prep ones. SOme were lengthy tho...But Whatever, NEver got s'thin below 40 in the practice tests...37 bovine mastication have been in the worst case. Planning to take it again. Please suggest me how to tackle Quant section (tho it is supposed to be the simplest) STudy material, tips nythin is welcome!!! now i feel that i have paid much attention to the verbal section rather than Quant.. IF not ,the verbal questions were of the standard as that of PowerPrep. SC's infact were easier . I got a boldfaced critical reasoning as my 7th question itself...Inspite of that I could sense i was doin well in verbal and by God's Grace i was very well paced ..only the last 2 or 3 questions i have guessed....Practice,practice and practice more for Verbal...Read more and increase thy speed..I personally fell that the verbal questions were not at all complex as people try 2 scare you...oNly thing is you should be able to grasp things at a faster pace... Otherwise ,I have 5 yrs of IT experience (2 yrs at Onsite with decent xtra curriculars)...BUt whatever this 27 in Quant will not make any Univ 2 give a second look at my App...Suggestions pls on what could be done |

Firstly, DO GOT GIVE UP or LOOSE HEART!
As cliched as it may sound, the best way to excel in quant is to practice, practice and more practice! period! Now, the questions is where do i practice this from ? Firstly, get a hand on which is weaker of the 2- PS or DS ? The number of questions in DS have increased, so i suggest you first pick this up. OG should be the foundation and followed by Manhattan questions. If you give yourself 1 month of practice...dude..you can for sure add 2 to the hundredth digit of your score and voila -720! :-) best of luck and always remember the difference between the possible and the impossible is just handwork! |
