530 (Q41/V22).DROP FROM 630. COMPELTELY BROKEN. NEED ADVICE.
Hi all,
Wrote my test today. Got 530 (Q41/V22). I am completely broken . Don't know what went wrong!!![]() My practice tests report: GMAT PREP: 470 (1st try) 600 3 Days Later. Manhattan GMAT: 1. 24/10/08 600(Q42/V32) 2. 26/10/08 600(Q43/V31) 3. 28/10/08 630(Q44/V33) 4. 29/10/08 630(Q43/V33) Got nervous during my quants, ran out of time during the end, had to guess a few questions. The score turned out pretty ok considering the guessing. Verbal was totally fine, was calm throughout the section answered every question properly. I dont know what went wrong. AS far as difficulty is concerned, it was moderate, like the Manhattan GMAT questions. Was expecting around 650. I have registered again for the test on Dec 2nd. Got one whole month. I dont know how to proceed further. The material I used was OG 11th Edition, KAPLAN 800 and Barrons. Any other material i can refer?? Especially for SC and Quants. Please advice. Thank you. |

Don't be defeated. You can do better next time!
From what I can see, you haven't done enough practice and mock exams, and you should go though Manhattan GMAT's series. They are great! Go though the books, be solid with the fundation, and do their practice questions. Also get OG 12, OG Verbal and Quant, then practice them over and over. |

It happens. the test itself is very stressful. Regarding the english, focus on the sentence correction book from MG. with critical reasoning, just concentrate on the OG material. Go over all of the questions again and again, until you are completely confident with GMAT reasoning. Doing so will also help you with reading comprehension. Also, keep doing the Manhattan GMAT cats. go over all your wrong answers over and over again. repetition is the key.

thanks you all for the advice. I have already ordered the Manhattan GMAT SC & Power Score critical reasoning Bible. Will go through them thoroughly. I already have the OG 11th Edition. Is there a major difference between the 11th and 12th Edition??
