Hi all

Great forum !

Just completed the GMAT last week. Got 740/99 (Quan - 47/83 and Verbal - 48/99). All I used were the practise tests from Kaplan (regular and 800) and PowerPrep.

If you have a background in Math, then the Math review on the Powerprep CD should be enough. After that its all practise, practise....

For verbal, practising with really tough questions (such as from Kaplan's tests and the Kaplan 800 book) really got me up to high level.

I used the OG a little but only towards the end to help increase my confidence :-) The Verbal questions in the OG and Powerprep are truly representative of those in the actual test.

Can't say the same about the Quant section though. I was suprised at getting just 83%ile, and after the section I truly believed I had blown it ! The level there is closer to that in the Kaplan tests.

This is the sequence in which used the test prep material -
1. Powerprep Practice sections
2. Kaplan practice sections
3. Powerprep tests and Kaplan tests interspersed.
4. Browsed through the OG.

Good luck everyone !

Any EMBA hopefulls, alumnii here ?

Manish

Sharmam,

Your scores are awesome! What made you think you blew the math section?

Thanks !

Basically, by the end of the Math section, I could count at least 5 questions that I had answered incorrectly or guessed.

I think that everyone would need different amts. of prep time. So I doubt if that would help you. I think 3 mos. is certainly enough. The important thing is to peak at the right time and not burn out by the time you take the GMAT. You should enjoy the exercise of preparing - even the AWAs [:-)]

What exactly confuses you in SC ?
