DGE, No-one dares say that Zizou was in the same league as Pele. Pele is simply unparallel, thu Earthlings make the common mistakes of equalizing Pele and Maradona. But then these are the Earthlings who don't know anything whatsoever abt football.
I compared Zizou with Maradona. Materazzi (Is it spelt this way?) abused Zizou saying that Zizou was a terrorist, his mother and sister were whores. Now IMO the coolest of Earthlings won't be able to stay cool when their mothers are abused this way. And at a time when the world is plagued with terrorism, it's hardly possible to stand when Earthlings call u terrorist, without any evidence whatsoever. Those who have suffered such thing know well how demoralizing that could be. I m sure it was a mistake of Zizou to have headbutted that moron. But Materazzi should have been punished too, for he was also responsible. Feel glad that FIFA has already announced to investigate.. No hard feelings. Zizou is still one of the greatest players after Pele's era.

Agree whole-heartedly that Zizou is a great player. I aint debating that fact at all.
The point that I'm trying to make here is : he should have definitely controlled and channelized his anger/frustration in a positive way. Didnt he know that he was carrying an entire nation's dream of winning the World Cup? Didnt he know that the opponents will try different ways to disrupt his game and mental balance? And,that Materazzi {sounds like Paparazzi } incident is not a one-off occurance. Zizou has had a history of very similar happenings all through-out his career. He should have restrained himself. I guess we all arent saying really different things:
1. All of us agree, zizou is a damn good player. 2. tht italian kiddo sudnt have had abused him. 3. But he did ! 4. He deserves the punishment. 5. But not what happened at the field, esp whn whole nation is looking upto their "star" to make thm forget the horror of 2002 world cup ! He shouldnt have lost his cool ! 6. Skill can make one good or excellent.. howevere, its temperament thats needed along with it to move on to "greatness" domain! Zizou seems to have just missed tht... not by a big margin though.. Anyone disagree here ?? By the way , looking around, things do not seems rosy with whts happening in Mumbai - the place I stay in.. Rains , Riots and now Bomblasts... in a fortnight.. and I was around each of these events .. still managed to survive! Would like to thank Darwin on this occasion.. hope his theory of "fittest shall survive" holds true for my application season too. Harvard, MIT and Chicago are out with their essays ! Time starts now..

ironically the city is spelled as "bomb"ay!! 1 explosion happened very near to me.. ripped the metal of train like paper ! and its the same metal that easily takes more than 100 people in 5 X 3 square meters at a time in normal working day..... agree with your statement - you can take some one out of Bombay but not Bombay out of that person .. elsewhere people run whn it explodes, loook at the pic below .... thts wht happen in mumbai ! ![]() and thn ... at 1 o clock in night there were people standing on the roads in middle of rain giving tea , biscuits, banana etc to others.. thts the spirit of mumbai anyways... best wishes to all of you who shall be competing with me for a fall 07 MBA seat ! PS: Some real interesting essay questions in chicago this time..

Feel sorry for all those Earthlings injured, died in the blast. We are probably heading towards a world of more problems and more bloods.
