I was disappointed with my GMAT performance. I was confident of a 700+ score. My verbal performance was not up to mark. I bogged down on 3 CR question, which didnt leave me much time at the end. I had to guess an entire RC(4 questions.)

I want to retake the test, but after the first experience I am beginning to doubt myself a little bit. Sometimes I feel I am I over estimating my self but I also feel that I deserve a 700.

Is there any one who went from a 600 to a 700+ score.
Please get in touch with me. May be i can learn some tips from you.

Good luck guys.

I plan to take the test on 31st of this month...can you please tell me how tough was the math and how much time did you give yourself to prepare.

Also what books did you use for your preparation and any pointers/feedbacks from your experience.

Well I agree with you that this test is more a mental game.

Well congratulations on your score..it all depends on which university are you applying for.

Hi Shri,
My advice to everyone taking the test is keep calm. Relax the day before the exam so that your mind is completely fresh on test day. The test is pretty stressful and you cannot affort to relax even a secont. I found out the hard way. My test was scheduled at 1 in the afternoon and by the time I was throught half the verbal section I could not concentrate that well.

Coming to my preparation, i did the entire OG. I found is very representative of the actual GMAT exam.
I also did Kaplan, Princeton practice tests. If you score low on these tests, do not let them bother you. Actual GMAT is much easier.

Good Luck.

hi there shri 62,

I aggree with kss's reply. Just try to relax before the test day because it will help you a great big lot. But make sure you spend about 1 hour or so revising sometimes when you have a test you freak out and forget everythhing just try and relax as the test can be stressfull and so can the day.

Good Luck for the 31st and all the best,

Tim
