670->720 (96%ile) Q50 V38
Hey Guys
Just finished my GMAT. have a decent 720, again way below my expectations but this time I won't crib at all because I have the 80-80 I was looking for. I took it again because of my 61%ile in verbal, which is now 85%ile. I value this 24%ile increment more than I do the 50 point increment in the overall score. I'd like to thank all TEST MAGICIANS this is a wonderful wonderful place.oh its such a huge relief that I dun have to study again

As compared with GP, Quant was I would say a little tougher. But only as compared with GP. The level of questions were pretty basic and tested the same things as GP. The reason I say that it was tough is that the level of difficulty never boiled down although in GP we get simple questions even if all first 10 are correct. I did a very big mistake in Q. Finished it with 20 mins left. Just conc on each and in every DS take your time. I rushed through the DS. I dun think I made any mistake in PS. There were no Prbability or Combinatronics questions.
Verbal, again I would say the same, pretty similar. I have seen a pattern with reading comprehension's. First and third are long with 4 ques each and second and fourth are smaller and have 3 ques each. one of the reading comprehension was on Co2 and many have seen the same reading comprehension, catch hold of that reading comprehension in jj's asap. I didn't had any jj's although Earthlings kept tellin me this SC were good but I cracked them all, (thank you, u're posts were reallt gud and helpful) . I dunno reading comprehension's weren't getting in my mind.....I probably did all the mistakes in reading comprehension. critical reasoning were ok, some tested the same thought patterns as GP. only one critical reasoning was tough, I didn't figure out the answer. Got one bold face but was easy as I practised lots from Sets.

All the best KK... You can score 750+, go for it.
If verbal is ure weak area, I most humbly and respectfully would say that u do the following: -> revise og 11, verbal. refrain from og 10. -> revise GP and specifically reading comprehension's. oNLY GP reflects the true difficulty -> don't spend time overly on revising maths and SC. -> before the test do some new reading comprehension n critical reasoning's. not more than 15 questions in all

My practise scores were kinda inflated as I took GP's b4 in Feb.
Anyway : GP1 730 GP2 730 (2 days b4) GP1 (repeat questions) : 780 last night. Manhattan tests 1: 640 2: 690 3: 430 only attempted math. Rest were sets and one paper test (730). My first few attempts @ GP GP1 : 680 w/o any material GP2 : 670 after og lol GP1 : 740 did on separate PC GP2 : 750 -------do--------

TamGmat,CONGRATS for your success.1 question.U finished Quantitative with 20 mins left.How did u do that? Was it very easy?Or u have been a math expert before?Or you were very well prepared?I am asking this because I want to know how u finished DS & everything so fast.Didn't u calculate DS to say half the solution? How much did u prepare for Quantitative?
Is That reading comprehension (CO2) in GMAT sets?????? Thanks in advance for replying |
