Well guys something about myself… I am an Industrial engineer form Punjab , India and have been working for past 3 + years . I started thinking about GMAT early July after a disastrous CAT last year ( 91 percentile !! overall )

Well my friend ( he also got 710 !!) suggested me TM and that’s it !!

As I am working full time so was not able to spend much time and took me close to 2 weeks to understand what GMAT is all about....

The first book bought was PR , it gave me clear idea about GMAT and is a really good book for beginners …. Then I gave one online test of PR and got 610 ( ..?? )

I was like …man this is tough and that was the time near July end i started actively participating in Verbal forums of TM. I used to browse each and every new post and try to solve the questions. I was not worried or you can say confident about Quant (I got 99 percentile in CAT both times in Quant ) and knew my weak area is verbal .

Parallel I did OG 10 (only verbal) and finished it by 20 August ‘06 and gave my first Gprep ….got 680 ( Q50 V32 ) , I got whooping 16 wrong in verbal . Then I analyzed my mistakes (RC ??? and then SC ) and started working on that .. did all GMAT SETS and few Quant question from Kaplan .

TM (Rocking!!)
PR (Good for beginners)
OG 10 (Better go for OG 11 now!!…Explanations are too good)
GMAT SETS
Kaplan CD (Only math sectional test – Level is below Gprep)
Gprep - Too good for Verbal ( Once u are done with both prep ..do it again and again for verbal !!)


Tests

PR - 610 (Before prep ..i must mention ..hahahaha )

20 – 25 August
Gprep 1 – 680
Gprep 2 – 680

06 – 07 Sep

Gprep 1 and 2 (Reinstalling) 700 in both (got 3 for questions repeat which I purposely marked incorrect)

How I planned my last 12 days

Starting from Sep 1

1- 5 - Did GMAT sets (20 -30 VERBAL only) - there OA are bit weird...but good question bank. I posted lot many questions in SC section from SETS - Philospher have answered all of them correctly !!!

6- 7 - Gave Gprep 1 and 2 (Scored 700 in both)

8 -9 - I did few MJJ’s and many questions of Quant from TM

10-11 – Again OG ( 10 - only SC hard bin ) and AWA ( wrote 3 –4 sample essays )

12 - Chill out
13 - G DAY

One deviation : - After advice from one of the TamGMAT ( Thanks buddy ,..it helped !! ) ….

12th Sep - I did Verbal Gprep 2- 3 times ( I got many different questions specially RC and SC )


Afcorse all these days I was actively involved on TM and in the end started looking at Quant forums also….
