Your score is fine for a lot of programs if you have solid work experience and can write good essays and interview well. Remember an average score of say 690 at a school doesn't mean you need that score, but 640 may be within the 80% grouping. At that point they'll at least look more closely at your app. Good luck!

Well, you're from India, and most people in you country that enter top 10 programs score 750 + ,, so you're facing a lot of competition ,, If I were you I would take the GMAT again and try to rise that score to above a 700. Addmission committees expect that score from Indians. Good Luck !!!
