Hi I am facing similar situation. Taking the exam day after tomorrow and only scored 620 in Power prep. But all my Manhattan GMAT scores are 630, 590, 670. 690. 700, and 700 in order. I have been reading posts, and seems like the PP is good indicator. I am just terribly confused.

Hey all,
I looked over this forum several times as I was preparing for the test - it served as a great way to see how other people fared when it came to test day. I particularly liked to see how other people's practice tests from various sources correlated with their final score. I thought I'd throw my experience onto this board hoping others can benefit as I did. My actual was 750 (Q49, V42, AWA6) Here are all of my practice scores: Kap paper diagnostic: 680 Kap cat 1: 680 Kap cat 2: 760 Kap cat 3: 700 Kap cat 4: 720 Manhattan GMAT Free Diag: 690 OG Cat 1: 750 Kap cat 5: 690 Kap cat UPT: 680 Manhattan GMAT Cat 1: 720 OG cat 2: 740 OG cat 1 retake: 760 I studied for a total of 6 weeks. As you can tell, the majority of my studying was taking practice tests and reviewing my missed problems. I think alot of people are big into the Manhattan GMAT materials. I think they are great study materials but their Cats are not good practice for the actual. They give you way too many hard problems and it can mess up your timing for the real thing. I think Kaplan's CATs are good practice, but the scoring algorithm is crap. My verbal ranged from 38-52 and my Quant was always about 44 with the exception of one 51. The OG is by far the best practice and the best indicator of your score on test day. Now its time for applications... |
