I am considering retaking..is the dismal score..the worst I have across all the tests I took..GMATPrep, Powerprep, Manhattan GMAT..Consistent 740-760..

My quant was ok but verbal was way below all my tests...and I'll you why..there is such a thing as "too much" Red Bull..even if you go you might find that you have to go again within 45 minutes..so go on and down a quarter of the standard can but not more..

I am a little torn because, on the one hand, this score will suffice to get me into the ones I am applying to (Chicago GSB / NYU Stern / Michigan Ross) btw it is a low score..

Thanks for the info on the scores - Surya and shakevt..I am not too worried about the score..am confident I can hit 730+..the problem is that I have to wait for 31 days before I can retake the test and will end up missing app deadlines..

modusoperandi, thankont, Chris: thank you for your wishes..

o-o, that's not a good news for you Original, 31days of waiting before you write again. I wish you all the best with your applications and i am sure you will take a good decision, depending on your situation. Congratulations and all the best once again.

What do you guys consider to be the best "Red Bull" strategy when writing the test. Maybe there should be a sticky about this. I think I am going to try this:

Before test: 1/2 Can red bull and take a piss

First break after AWA: Another 1/2 Can and take a piss

Second break after Quant: 1 full Can and take a piss

Following the test: More that likely a big energy drop off...but who cares, you can crash at this point all you want.

I think one must keep their energy levels fairly steady, and I have experienced a red bull crash before. With that said, I dont think that just taking one red bull before the test would last until the verbal section, and one would crash.

Would this strategy work? Everyone test it out on some GMAT Prep tests. This is what I am going to do.
