I think you should not give up. Just take a break and give it a fresh start. You have scored well in verbal. Cracking maths should not be very difficult. You can do it.

    Hey Guys..

Thank you so so much. Your scraps are indeed encouraging. I guess I never expected such a bad score.. so it was a big blow.

After i couldn't answer that probability thing.. my mind went blank.

anyways, I can't retake it now.. as I am getting married this november and haven't yet started my wedding prep...

One more thing pls advise whether doing MBA from Cal State Univ.. is a Bad Idea???

And truly guys, I am so happy to have you all around to motivate and encourage me..Thank you tons.

Wish I knew about MBAs But if you have no opportunity to re-take, and if you think that it will be beneficial, then you should consider applying for this MBA.

shingivyas... call is your but i would suggest you to take it once more... just 30 days of hard work and you will get a very good score.

if you want any help from me regarding quant then i am always there to help you.

and yes... pray for me... 6 more days to go and i am too nervous... it's been long (around 6 years) since i appeared for any test.

As everyone said, I would say the same you should retake but yeah with your marriage it's your call. Again as everyone said your verbal score is good, it is good and all you need is strengthen you Quant. To add to that, never never leave any question unanswered there is huge penalty on unanswered questions. It happened to me once in GMATPrep and I learnt the lesson. So, if I have like 10 questions and 2 minute, I would mark first 8 randomly and try to solve the other 2 in rest 1 minute.

I would just like to highlight my experience as I havent written debrief of my trifle score of 530. I have been constanlty scoring 650+ in GMATPrep and infact on my first GMATPrep, I scored 590 without any prep. I am not that bad. I think the whole reason for my fiasco in real GMAT was because I got nervous and lost focus in between the Quant section, which is my strength. I have been scoring 48 constantly in GPrep Quant but ended up with 38 on real test.

I am preparing again and I will take test somewhere in October. I don't know whether I would go for MBA after GMAT but I just want to score 700+.

WOW !!! Know what ..jus in a day I feel like retaking it.
Btw..when can I do that.. (they require some 2 months/ weeks time , before I can retake)

and Aqueel, thanks for your help. I am indeed BAD at maths and for the GMAT besides Review from couple of books jus' did OG XI. so guess didn't prepare for it much, though I should have. What do you advise???
And all the best for the test..You will definitely score good.

Isn't the exam scheduled according to calendar month?
What's the issue of "two week time requirement"?
