I am going bananas! no clue what happened ... I need help to investigate the verbal mess I created and to improve it to score at least 35+ (hopefully Q 50(51) / V 35+ = 700-720)
I was fairly cool and calm on the test day. For AWA I just spilled memorized templates and filled in the body part. Pretty easy had enough time to re-read. I could have gotten 51 on Quant but i got some nasty questions which consumed extra time. The verbal section started with SC (it had error in comparision, i think then one more SC and then couple of CRs then reading comprehension .. spent around 18-20 mins on the first 10 Q (cross checking answers etc )Now that I think about it I was getting pretty easy questions for most art of the test. might have messed up something in the top 10 or top 5. Test prep stats: OG all SC and critical reasoning, 50% RCs Kaplan 800 Verbal Princeton Verbal Review OG Verbal Review Manhattan SC Test Scores Kaplan 1 : 620 v/27 Kaplan 2 : 640 v/27 Kaplan 3 : 640 v/27 Powerprep : 770 ( in this i got most questions which I had already done in the OG so useless ) v/41 Princeton review : 720 ( don't recall the verbal score for this ) GMATPrep : 740 ( I was just able to give one test and again got many repeat questions from OG11) ( don't recall the verbal score for this ) Any recommendations/ input/ references to other parts of this forum which can help the noble cause would be greatly appreciated.Do the good folks at GMAT send some analysis of the test ( some info as to what was wrong might be very helpful ) I plan to give it again soon preferably in 3 weeks time to leave me enough time for other application process. darn, should have nailed it in one but hey the bright side I get to do it again (yikes) |

ackerman80, one information - you can take your next GMAT attempt only after 31 calendar days; So plan accordingly. Good luck, Arun B |

Thanks Arun for the information regarding dates for retake.
How can I find out what hurt my score on verbal. Does GMAC send any kind of analysis of the performance in the test? like the question number which were answered wrong? might give me an idea if I messed up something in the initial stage? I recall getting some website for GRE which presented information on questions answered right/wrong. |
