I am a German and took a Veritas Prep Course for 7 weeks. All together, I studied 3 months, but with two large breaks.

Today I was surprised about my results, because I got 45 points at math. I thought it would be worse, because I made many stupid mistakes, the questions became very easy at the end and the last 6 questions I had to answer in 2 minutes (completely forgot the time and just guessed all answers "C"). The math part was much easier than Kaplan, 800 score or whatever. I was really bad today and don't deserve 45 points.

On the other hand, I had a good feeling for the verbal part, because the sentence correction was really difficult at the end. However, I got only 33. I don't know why. As you can see you should never trust the 800-score: two months ago I had 52 points!!!!

I will retake the test in 2 months, because I want to have around 700. If anybody knows, how I can improve my verbal score, please tell me.

I will not use the Kaplan test anymore, because the questions have nothing to do with the GMAT. None of the questions or even the topics have been related to the test today.

I will practise the GMAT prep test until I have 800 points. Do you have any suggestions which other tests I could practice?

I had the following books: Veritas (14 books), Kaplan 2005, Kaplan Math, Princeton Review, OG
