Hi all..

This is my first mail on the forum...

I would like to thank all on the forum for all the valuable stuff they provide out here...I am an IT professional working in India and could not devote much time for the preps..But this section on TestMagic , where I found others experiences with the real test , helped me a lot...Thanks and all the best to you guys ....

I took GMAT on 31st of the last month and got 760....

My scores on the prep tests were like this:

PP1 : 690
Kaplan 1: 600
Kaplan 2: 630
Kaplan 3: 640
PP2 : 720

I used to get 51-52 consistently in Quant ..dont know where I messed up on the D day..Verbal was better than I ever managed all through my preparation...

I would like to share few of my observations with you all...


1) Brush up probability and combinations etc and keep thy
eye on what is asked..questions are confusing at times..i mean reading
the question is very important...secondly , sometimes we see the question and try to arrive at a set of equations and all ...but most of times the qusestions can be solved merely by putting in the answer choices one by one or eliminating the answers...tht saves a lot of time..

2) Some days back some one had advised to read all reading comprehension's as new and interesting piece of information ..I followed tht advise and I think tht helped me a lot

3)While analysing my errors , I observed that I had a habit of unconsciously ignoring the part of the sentence after the
underlined part in sentence correction....avoiding this on the test day
saved me a lot...read the complete sentence aloud to urself after you think you have got the answer..
