    Materials Used

    Princeton Review
    Manhattan GMAT Sentence Corrections
    Manhattan GMAT Number Properties
    Official Guide 11
    Official Guide 11 Verbal Review
    Official Guide 11 Math Review
    SETS 30 and 29

I got hold of a Kaplan Book in my last week and thought it was better than Princeton Reivew. In my opinion either of these 2 books are good to get you started but not nearly good enough for a 700+score.

    Tests
    Princeton Review - 650
    GmatPrerp - 650
    Princeton Review - 680
    MGAMT - 670
    Manhattan GMAT - 650
    GmatPrep 2 - 650 (Heartbroken)
Re-did all the 2/3 med to hard quant questions from Official Guide 11 and all the SC's
    Manhattan GMAT -700
    GMATPrep1 (Repeat) - 730
    Manhattan GMAT - 710
Gmat Prep II (Repeat) - 760

In my last few days i ran the GmatPrep software again and got quite a few different questions. There is a lot more material in the software than just 2 tests. Although you want to save it for the last as in my repeat tests i had a couple of quant questions that i remembered. Or another approach is to search the forum for GMATPrep questions.

After i bombed my GMATPrep for the second time, i started tracking my mistakes and hit rate. It helped me to identify my weak areas.

    Actual Test

    Quant

Quant seemed easy with difficulty level matching the GMATPrep and Official Guide questions. I had 2 tough questions one was geometry and the other was number sequence. I am sure I made careless mistakes because of the score. I finished 3 min. ahead of time as I decided to guess on a few tough questions rather than try to work my way through it. I had tried that in my practice exams and was unable to finish on time.

I had a lot of number properties, algebra, ratios and percentage questions, number line.
I got 2 probabilities questions, were very straight forward. And about 2 or 3 coordinate geometry. One later in the game a brute force calculation

No permutation, combination questions, circles or triangle

Just make sure you spend extra time on the first 10-12. I followed the strategy where I was on 12Q on 50 min mark

The GMAT quant is not as tough as compared to Manhattan but mostly tricky.

    Verbal
Appeared to be tougher than my practice tests. I thought I was going to do better than actually did, was expecting approx. 42 on it.
Got 2 bold face in critical reasoning and about 5 SC’s, which were completely underlined.
I did not spend to much time for my Critical reasoning preparation but some of them seemed tough. RC's were ok except one difficult science one. But the score is not off from my GMATprep scores. I scored between 38 and 44 on GMATPrep.

Let me know if you have any other specific questions

I read the Kaplan premier program book. I liked the math reference section in the end. It basically covers all the concept. Although, I did not get a chance to look at the Verbal section as i got the book just few days before my exam.

During my final three weeks of prep I solved sets of 30-40 questions for each section to help my endurance and timing. In my initial prep tests i was behind in math but was able to finish verbal about 10 min earlier usually.

    Math Timing
Surprisingly i was pretty quick in the match on actual exam day. I think i might have been a little careless. But the general strategy was Q12 - 50 min Remaining Q24 - 25 min remaining. On the couple of tough questions where I drew blanks i did not spend more than 1:30 sec. I took an educated guess and moved on. Now if the tough questions were before the Q12 i would have tried harder.

    Verbal Timing
In the actual GMAT i completed the Verbal Section with about a minute left. I got stuck on a tough CR and a sentence correction back to back where i spent about 4 min each. So in order to make up time I went through a RC quickly. I read the RC thoroughly once and answered the questions pretty much without referring back to the RC. Cannot tell how good I did.

In general i kept in my mind to have about 1:30 sec for each of the remaining questions. So if i was behind i would make it up in about next 4-5 questions. I usually looked at the clock after about four questions in the beginning. Was looking at the clock very frequently on my last ten questions

The biggest thing on exam day is to remain focused. I lost concentration from time to time and had read and reread a lot of questions. This wastes a lot of valuable time. If i could go back to my prep i would try to be mindful of that in my practice exams. As it is said you play as you practice. Take all the test exams seriously and keep focused and read all the questions thoroughly.
