(kEEP IN MIND that I had Got 248 in Toefl, despite low scoring in listening part, just 23;due to which I m offered to retake without any furthur cost)

    To GMAT:

Reading comp was.......ridiculous....i would call it a joke....its unfair,it spoiled my rhythym at test and consequently my scores.

    Actual test:

Got 4 reading comp pessages .First reading comp pessage was extremely complicated and was of 80 lines, which just shook me and I could not recover.second one of 40 lines but still difficult, third one of 60 lines of standard difficulty, fourth one of 40 lines a little less than standard difficulty. There are a lot of sentence correction questions on actual GMAT.

Quantitative was ok,never had a problem in it.3rd question was a combination problem.A lot of data sufficiency questions aswell.
    Essays were reasonable.

I had got 510 in kaplan diagnostic before preparation.
I had got Q-48 in power-preparation-II after preparing from OG and 590 in kaplan test-1 after preparing from OG.

    Preparation material:

Prepared for 1 month 15 days.Last 10 days with OG,earlier with barrons book and cd, kaplan cd, power-preparation-cd.
I had my test rescheduled to 20-nov-03(today) from 03-dec-03.My decision was quite right.Infact, it were they (ETS) who obliged me with four reading comp pessages(first two were Gobbledygook, absurd ).

    TIP:
Practice for all parts sufficiently.First take diagnostic test ,prepare section wise and take atleat 4 complete tests (of which one test should be 1 week before test),I took 2 complete tests.Revise official guide atleast once(I did it once complete and second time partially). There will be a lot of sentence correction.

    PLEASE HELP A LITTLE:

I donot know that whether any business school in U.S. accepts these low scores.Im trying to find some, please help [:o)].

This site is appreciable.I came to know about OG from this site.
    Thanks to ERINN.

Can you take the test again?

I know a couple schools in the Bay Area that might accept you, but expectedly these schools are not that great. If I recall, Golden Gate University now accepts students without the GMAT, but they are required to enroll in ESL programs while they are studying. There's another school here, called Lincoln University, that doesn't require GMAT, but I couldn't recommend it.

The easiest legit school here in the Bay Area (CSU Hayward) still requires a GMAT of 470 or so, with a minimum of 20%ile on the Verbal, although I've had a few students get in with less than 20%ile Verbal.

Don't give up! Just keep studying, and you'll do fine.

    Hi,

I agree with Erin that you should take the test again and study a lot harder this time. I took the test more than 3 times already and still not get great score that I want. Anyway cheer up
