tera2008
Does anyone know why some people with 48Q and 37V get 690 and others get 700??? Has anyone's score changed when they recieved their official report?:hmm: I appreciate your insight :D
larbgai
The scoring matrix on the paper tests sold by GMAC might shed some light. For the scaled score on each section, each scaled score can fall within a range of # answered correctly. So for instance, getting 49 right on the verbal, or getting 48 right on the verbal, will both give you a scaled score of 42. However, I believe that your overall score is generated by a composite of the individual raw scores. So the extra point on the verbal, which gave you the same scaled score for verbal, contributes to a higher composite score. This is just a guess......the computerized scoring algorithm is a lot more complex than the old paper test method. It could just be that displayed a wider breadth of knowledge on the test, and that contributed to slightly higher composite score. It is hard to say what causes it.......
