Hi guys. I was planning to give the GRE on Oct 14th. However last 2 weeks many things started happening and my preparation went downhill. I have to reschedule it. Can someone tell me when is the latest I can give my GRE for this year's applications? Thanks a lot...

Ideally GRE should be given atleast three months before filing the application. As you will be targeting Fall-09, I would suggest you to reschedule it to any proximate date according to your prep.

It depends on a lot of things:
1) What schools kind of schools are you looking at? 2) Are you expecting to get funding from universities? The deadlines for most masters/PhD programs range from Dec1 st to June 1st. If you are planning on making a Feb 15 deadline, you should take your GRE by mid-December. Hope it helps :-) |

hi guys,
I have the same problem here. i am planning to take my GRE in november 3rd and the deadline for applying for my program in January. so if anyone can give me any advice about timing. that would be helpful. I am not sure if this is too late especially if I am seeking scholarship. I am also considering starting the application process now without the GRE and then i can provide it after taking it. What do u guys think? |
