1390(V640 Q750)- need advice !please
So i just gave my gre today
I am working(just started) and felt like i didnt study for long enough given the limited(studyable!!) hours i got but i want to apply for (havent particularily decided which course-i open to anything ranging from anthropology to development studies to economics)fall next year And the thing is that there is no point going if i dont get into a good university and thus i am considering giving it again so my questions a)what sort of decent-good universities would it be feasible for me to apply to with these scores? b) if i do give it again, what are the chances of my scores drastically improving? any tips on how to excel in math and english? i will be giving it again (if i decide to) in a month or so(given that i dont have a choice for lesser than that) one thing that i did notice/ learn from my gre experience was- my speed! when i did tests at home i always seemed to manage them in time but today i actually ended up marking a few answers aribitrarily out of no option due to the rapid rates of time running out |

Congrats Organized !! Thats a good score.
Its hard to tell what kind ot universities you can get into. A lot depends on your GPA and other stuff. But provided your GPA and everything is fine. You should be able to get into a good university. Your verbal score is very good. You don't need more than that. While your quant score is good, improving it by 20-30 points will certainly boost your chances of securing admission in top schools. How much did u score in powerprep in quant ? Do you think quant in actual exam was harder than powerprep ? |

thanks so much!
well my scores varied in the power prep, but i did score a 800 once i would say that the power prep results are not overtly disparate from the real test...the only problem that i faced was that i was too slow. but the level of difficulty of the gre hovers around that of the pp's if not marginally more. would re-giving it on nov 21st be too late? and how much can i improve in a month? |
