Done with gre (1380) verbal:600,quant 800
hi all
wrote my gre on 15th oct,and got the scores as 1400. verbal:600 quant 800 as usual i reached testing center a half an hour ago.so i had a chat about the necessary ID requirements. and the started ,firstly were as usual were argument and issue essays. which were OK as they were from the GRE pool and i have gone through them before. next i took the 10 min break although i was back within 4 min but still took it to 10.then came the quant section .i was a bit startled although not apprehensive as i have always been practising the verbal section first. quant was OK but i was taking much more time trying to reassure the answer twice.and owing to that i had 5 questions left in last 3 min.but then those were fortunately decent one. next came the verbal section.all words were from barrons except a few like TARDY,SAPIENT.at 11 th question came the dreary RC of 90 lines, and so the thing carried on with the next RC immidiately after that on 16th question. i thnk those RCs led the score as at the end of first RC i really wanted smthing else other than RC .and so it went .after the test got comleted, though i had an idea of abt 670 in verbal and scores just flummoxed me up.after that there was a research section of argument ,i read it for 5 min but then decided to move on. my powerprep scores were powerprep 1: verbal:660,quant:780 powerprep II verbal:680,quant :800 , powerprep is the only one which simulates GRE to max extent this forum has been such a great help which is just ineffable, especially guys like rezbipul and goldust really deserved a high score. amigo ro solved my RC phobia. its awesome guys ,just try to use this forum as much as u can and do help the others too. any suggestions and questions are absolutely open |

congratulations ! wish you all the best of luck for your admission.
BTW you mentioned about rezbipul. I had gone through his collected problems. after getting perfect score in quant what's your opinion about the difficulty level/relevance of those problems to the real one? |

hi econ PHD considering rezbipul ,ya i think those problems were of way too high faculty and they like prepare u for the monster type questions.every minute concept is elaborated in those problems ,but i should suggest that most likely those problems type are not likely to come in the exam, however there were few airs that GRE math complexity level has increased ,but did,nt thought sso.so better go with the standard material
