One of the most horrible experiences of my life but still V780 Q72

I will never forget today, it was like a ride through hell and back. I woke up today, GRE at 13.00, was reading over the Barron's wordlist slowly freaking myself out about how many words I didn't know. Went over to my mantlepiece to get my passport (the only valid form of ID I have). Wasn't there...Went on a 1 and a half hour rampage through my house, emptying drawers, tossing papers off shelves, rooting under couchs the whole lot. Realised that it was gone so I tried to cancel my test online, logic was that I could get a new one and take the test next week. Couldn't cancel as it was 1 hour 15min before exam, i thought 'Oh my god, I've spent the last 3 months studying just to get an NS or zero on my test!'.

Found the passport in an embarassingly obvious place five minutes before i needed to leave. Raced to the centre, ID ok. Started exam early at 12.30 so no time to relax. AW section OK, just OK not great. Then Quants. After 45 min of clueless guessing, frantic scribbling, all panic at the difficulty level. Was sure I blew it. By this stage I was climbing the walls. Verbal started and I stopped caring, I'd answer questions like I was doing a light hearted mock exam not the real thing. Got through thought I had done awful. Voila! Exam over!....NOT! There was another quants section, I was exahusted but slightly relieved. Started ok but the panic set in plus the tiredness. At one stage I couldn't even do long multiplication I was panicking so much, the words on the screen were more like hierogylfics. Got through it, had images of telling my referees who've already said they'd do references for me, 'thanks, but I'm not going ahead with it as I screwed up the GRE'. Was sooooooo close to cancelling, you wouldn't believe. When I saw the scores I didn't feel relieved I was so distraught after the whole ordeal.

I will write soon with advice on how I think you should study e.g what I have learnt over the last few months. The above is just a rant to get all the stress off my chest and maybe an amusing story too. When studying I'd go on testmagic alot, just relax a bit but still be studying. It was always really encouraging to feel that others were going through the same thing.

Take care guys, best of luck to those who still have to sit the exam!
