hello people ... well dat sucked 3 months of prep an expectaion of 1400 and here it is a cool 1010 points then where i was supposed to be... well no time to take another test now... and i must live with this...
Here is my general bck...Student of -garment manufacturing tech (its kind of production engineering oriented towards the garment sector) - NIFT(national institute of fashion technology) CGPA 8.3/10 ... 10th -81% and 12th -89% ... 6 months of education in DMU, Leicester UK (sent by nift on a twinning prog) .. major graduation Project at Raymond ( a textile major in India) awarded most commercially viable proj award - project was on systems eng....other projects include a industrial eng proj in ITC... and a few more covering diverse feilds.. post my raymond proj i spent 2 months working with the firm interested in MS in systems engineering... Want to continue and do my Phd... well dats my story.. wat do u think... can i pull it off... and yes would greatly help if i could get a scholarship or funding... well dont have a big list of univs to choose from some 20... i would be happy if u people can provide inputs... Here are the names of Univs auburn * florida intl univ* florida institue of tech Iowa state North carolina state oakland Oklahama Roichester Stevens Texas A and M* texas tech Ohio Univ of arizona Univ of california USC university of florida Univ of verginia virgina tech colleges Univ of michigan* North western Univ *i sent scores to these univs at the end of my gre exam... application process yet to start most deadlines for finacial aid expire around dec 1st week Last edited by ganiki : 11-04-2008 at 09:08 PM. |

Hello ganiki,
most of the schools you listed are good. May be you should create a list starting from high risk, medium risk and sure admit by looking at their avg gre score.. I am sure you might have almost started that now. as most deadlines are nearing. Apply to two or three school in each category I listed. UC, UF, Rochester .. these are all good schools. and with ur GRE scores it should not be too bad. |

Also, I hope you are giving the same level of importance to your personal statment. That is the only alternate way of a professor to get to know you.
