Goldust 's dreams are becoming reality.
Hmmm... odd that. I can still log in to mine and it's been over a year. I think it might have something to do with when you first log in.

I am retaking my GRE on July 13th, 2009. My first attempt in January 2009 I scored 790Q/350V/3.5AWA.

I want to retake it to raise my verbal and AWA scores, as I am a domestic student, so I fear my scores are dangerously low. My first attempt I prepared 0 for these sections. I am not too worried about my ability to score highly on the quantitative section again, maybe even be able to get an 800 (though the marginal benefit is negligible).

I'm applying for a PhD in Economics for Fall 2010, so my verbal and AWA need not be sky high, but I am aiming for at least 450V and 4.5AWA.

I will be retaking GRE again around 2nd week of September, haven't picked up a date yet.
In my earlier attempt I scored 1310(Verbal: 510 and Quant: 800 with 3.5AWA)
I need to improve in verbal and AWA section.

Long story short, I came to have 5 minutes left for the last 9 questions, although I'm pretty sure the difficulty level was high at that point, and just cancelled. I'd rather work on my timing and nerves for next time than have to deal with a potential 700 or 600 something for 5 years on my cv....plan on taking it again in June asap.
MJ7, I was also too overly concerned with the first few questions of the math section that I didn't have time for the rest. In the end, I only got 580 for the math section...

The GRE Math review provided at the ETS website http://ets.org/Media/Tests/GRE/pdf/GREmathPractice.pdf has some useful info, however I find it does not have some formulas/ tricks that are needed to answer the quantitative sections. I'll try and find a site that has more comprehensive quantitative review tips and post it here. Meanwhile, I can share any math review tips that I have already collected by posting them here.

When do you plan on retaking the GRE? Btw what's BME?
Hi guys. I found this great site that has nice GRE review, esp quantitative Free GRE Test Prep. All the best for those retaking their GREs!

Hi Luma. I plan on retaking the GRE late September. I hope to get a high enough score so that I don't have to "re-retake" it!

Good luck!

I'll probably be re-taking it in late August. I took it back in March 2008 with no prep to get into an MA program. But I need a much stronger score on Q to get into a competitive PhD program.
