Finished my GRE 29/10/09 with score V400 Q800

I will speak only about quant... More than half of all problems were unfamiliar to me - I mean that I haven't solved similar problems before.
During 2 month of preparation I've solved all the problems from these books:
- Nova Press Prep
- Barron's 12th ed
- 501 Quantitative Comparison Questions
- 501 Measurement and Conversion Questions
- 501 Geometry
- 501 Algebra Questions
- 501 Math Word Problems
- Acing the GRE from Learning Express
- 1014 GRE Practice Questions Excerpt (Diagnostic Test)
- CliffsTestPrep GRE CBT 6th
- GRE Practice General Test from ETS
- Peterson's Ultimate GRE Tool Kit
- Examville 7 tests, also practice online (2 days)
- Master_GRE_2010
- McGraw-Hill's GRE, 2010 Edition
- GRE Bible
- Barron's 17th ed
- PowerPrep
- Quantitative Aptitude (1-8, 10-12, 15, 17, 21, 28, 30, 31, 34, 35, 36-39)

You must understand that I've only solved problems, I have NOT read all the tactics that were mentioned in books above, EXCEPT Nova Press Prep, Barron's 12th ed, Barron's 17th ed, PowerPrep, Quantitative Aptitude.

So, what can I say...

GRE questions are very specific, they need your analytical skills.
If you're NOT good in math during 1 month you can rise your score by 50-100 (if you are preparing 2 or 3 month you still will rise by the same quantity).
If you're good in math it's enough during 1-2 weeks to study (with all tecnics):
- Nova Press Prep
- Barron's 17th ed
- PowerPrep
I've heard that Nova GRE Math Bible, Kaplan Math Workbook and Barron's GRE Math Workbook are also really good. Don't know cause I hadn't seen them.

Hey Congratz Bane

as i told u that i had my GRE on 14th of october...i scored 1170 in all which includes 780 in quantitative section and 390

in verbal....anyways congratz for your good score and good luck for your future

Congratulations! Is your verbal above the required minimum?
Cause mine 400 hits exactly required minimum

Congrats on the your score. So if i only use barrons and nova that should be enough prep for math~have an engineering degree and did well in math. I just need the strategies, I get bogged down in the details.

you have to practice Kaplan CD. It will help u to answer quantitative questions on time.
