Hey guys,

Done with the new GRE. Got an average/just above average score of 1270-1470 (Q 690-790, V 580-680)

Some things I thought of sharing -

The new GRE is more a test of the male bladder than anything else :-P It's excruciatingly long, so make sure you do some full length practice papers before attacking the actual GRE.

Also make sure you take an extra section while doing the practice test - One extra section will appear as a 'research' section but you don't know which one!

The quants was pretty simple, just make sure you look into all question types specified. Do some data interpretation/ chart problems to get the hang of it. (In my 2nd quants section they were a real time guzzler. I couldn't take the last 2 questions on the test because of them)

In verbal the RCs got kind of pissing off after a while. So if your mind is really not able to focus on reading them, keep them for the end. I had about 15 solid minutes left for all the RCs after I finished the rest of the questions.

I took Practice tests from Powerprep2, GRE official guide and Princeton Review 1014 practice questions - The last book is particularly useful because it has practice questions topic-wise so helps you cover all the topics)
