Hi smile,
My gre is also in Dec, on the 14th. I am also quite concerned about the "essays" part of the GRE. Guess we found TestMagic at the right time. About 2 - 3 months before the exam. Well, just to help you a little bit. It is not yet too late to write essays. you can start writing them anytime. (ususally the last 15-20 days before the exam is when you really sweat out !!) Just make sure that you do write some essays. That will boost up your confidence level and I guess it will definitely help to improve your essay writing skills .... like if you are at a 4.0/6.0 right now ... i guess a little practice should take you to 5.0 at least!! (I havent written a single one till now.) Neways.. I just wanted to tell you that sometime last week I went through all the Issue topics (the list on gre.org) and found that essay topics were quite repetitive. So I started categorizing them. I could broadly divide about 30-40 of them into 10-15 categories. Hopefully there should not be many categories.. I think this will help since ... you can think of points on the different categories (for preparation) and then use relevant ones in the essays. Or you can prepare one essay from each category .. well.. hope this helps you. (I am quite terrible at english myself !! and am aiming for a 5.0 !!) and I have finished with only 10 wordlists till now !! and I am hoping to post an essay too, hope that is real soon !! neways All the best .. Amruta |

thanks a lot, Erin! And, ofcourse, Amigo-ro!!! The list is indeed really helpful...
Need help with this. Which univs do I apply to according to the score? In the sense, I am checking out which ones are good, medium and low. But, what scores are good in the new pattern??? |
