hello to everybody
I am new in sending messages but I follow the discussion groups for almost 3 weeks. It helped me quite a lot in my rush towards passing the GRE. I passed it on November, 9th.Unfortunatelly, I got a quite bad score in comparison to what I see here, preciselly, 350 for Verbal and 660 for Quantitative. I still do not know the result for the Analytical section but I think it will be ok. Could anybody advice me on how the score of Analytical section is included into the global score? What is its importance? thanks in advance |

ur score is ok. i suggest you take a chance and apply for admissions. there is a lot of ambiguity this time in admissionz coz of the new format of GRE, the computer science GRE subject test being cancelled etc. and if u want to retake the test, try to figure out what went wrong and where. One problem I faced was taking too many mock tests so on the actual day the seriousness for the actual gre was not there at all. my score is 1230. and awa scores are awaited.
good luck, and r'ber GRE is not the end of the your admission chance. only one of the factors they consider. try to highlight other factors and make it seem as if this happened on a bad day. salil Quote:

Salil,
I am still thinking about the fact that my score is quite low for the domain I would like to apply to ( international studies) do you happen to know the importance of GRE in analysing the file ? Quote:
