Extremely disappointed with my GRE score.
Did not expect such a bad score.
V 450 Q 670
Could anyone por favor, el señor give their opinion on my score.
Iam totally confused
Want to do MS in computer.
Is this score worth anything? .

Im sure the score isnt too bad but u should re take it if a, you have time and b, you think u can do better.

dude just relax. I gave my GRE in sept. last year and at the moment i am in the process of applying to universities. A good GRE score makes a difference. But tahts not the only thing that these universities are looking for. They look at the entire package...which includes ure undergraduate Acads, work exp. ,ure letters of recommendation, ure project work, any research that uve done, ure SOP etc etc. SO i think if ure profile is strong in the other departments, except for ure GRE score then u dont need to worry. Say if ure acads are good and u can get good recommendations... u can make it to decent univs. What say guys ?

You could do worse the second time.
I did really poorly too because I crammed and I was very nervous.

My girlfriend got into Yale, Michigan and Duke with a V550 Q500 and 4.5!!! She added an amendum to her SOP saying she has always been a bad test taker.

I was talking to a professor at my school the other day and he said the adcoms (which he is) just look to make sure you meet the minimums for the university. If you meet that, your app goes on to the next phase.

Check the minumums.

I wouldn't retake it unless you have a good chunk of time to devote to it again. Look, you could do worse then you can't use the "I have always been a bad test taker" excuse.

I guess the verbal does'nt count much !!
