Congratulations on your fantastic score. Let me ask you a question, please. When you get an 800 score; how many questions can you get wrong or do you have to get every single question correct?

If you had to guess how many questions do you think you could get wrong and still get a 780 score?

Again, great job and thank you in advance for your input the number of questions wrong.

I think the person who received this score - Peter V - is no longer around. I myself not taken the GRE as of yet.

From the powerprep it looks like on the verbal that if you get 2 wrong or less you'll get an 800. If you get 3 wrong you're either @780 or 790 depending on where you get the questions wrong - maybe 770 if you get one of the first 5 questions wrong.

Imo, there's no difference to speak of between any score in 99%ile as far as actual ability goes as I think that anyone capable of a 730 can, on a good day, hit an 800 and likewise one who scores 800 can slide to a 730. Generally I hit in this range on verbal practice tests, but I have no idea what I'll do on the real thing except I imagine I'll hit somewhere in this zone...
