Gre quant=770, Gre verbal=270 , (GreAnal>=5)

Hi everybody,
I made a blunder in the verbal sections. i had two verbal sections. In one I attended all the questions and in the second I got stuck in an RC and could only attend 16/30 questions. the result is that my verbal score is 270 only.my gre quant is 770 and did well in analytical sections.
my toefl score is inthe range of 210-267.

Should i try applying for MS in CS or should i go for GRE again.

if u have good recos , GPA , some projects under u r belt , no harm in applying

I don't think you have a chance of getting in anywhere with a 270 on the Verbal section. You need to take the test again.

I agree with Erin, that u shud take thy test again...Let alone admission, with this V score thy VISA would definetely be at stake......U CANNOT convince a VISA officer with that score....

Thank you everybody! everybody i talked to has advised me to take the gre again. since with this verbal i will have problems in getting into a good uni., viza clearance. i have decided to give teh gre again.

what is the ETS GRE POLICY on reporting scores for those who have appeared more than once. do they send in the latest scores. or do they send an average . what is the exact policy?

I took my gre on 20th dec'2002. according to gre bulleting i can take it once in a calendar month. do i need to keep a gap of atleast 30 days or can i take it on 1st of january 2003?

i have already filled up 4 universities in the ets form to report my gre scores. can i ask ets not to report those scores?

I have the same doubt...if i give GRE again..will Universities take my Average...or that latet score...how does it works

Some universities take the latest GRE score whereas some take the average of 2 scores. It depends on school to school. So no harm in taking the test again.
