V. 670; M. 790; + problem!
Hi all,
I took the GRE today, did consistently with my practice tests (pprep), but made stupid mistake. Instead of putting my university when asked, I put the name of one of the unis that I want my scores to be sent to. Does anyone now if the score reports sent to unis show the uni of the test-taker? Help will be appreciated! I am eager to know whether score reports containt this info. I alerted the test admin, she told me to talk to ETS. Sent them an e-mail, no reply yet. If they don't write tomorrow I will call them in 2 days. I am going to try to have this fixed I'm afraid they will say its sealed or something. 10x! |

I know that on the student's score report it's not mentioned. I presume that they only ask you for their own statistics (to see how graduates from certain schools perform on the test etc.), which would mean that it will not be mentioned on the score report sent to the universities you apply to. If I remember correctly, they also ask you whether you want to send a score report to your undergrad institution... So I guess they only ask for those reasons... I'm not absolutely sure though, but this info makes me presume they don't put it on the score reports sent to the universities you're applying to.
Btw, congratulations on your score!!! ![]() |

Thank you cridamour!
Thank you Econ! Right now I am writing my fourth (!) e-mail to ETS to ask them to clarify this to me. I was careful to be very explicit about what I have made, put the name of one of the score-recipient universities as the name of the university that I attend currently. I have received three responses by them so far, and despite my (hopefully) clear description they keep on telling me that if I want to send more scores I need to pay $15 for each and make additional request. Something that is indeed true and indeed irrelevant. I am quite sure they did not even read the first two e-mails, so I started to be more aggressive. I appreciate your help very much! |

I had engaged 2-3 times in such, disturbing, conversations with ETS, and I didn't now whether I needed to cry out loud or laught out loud so as to make them see my point. Keep emailing them, and hopefully one day they'll understand what you are claimimg ... |

Excellent score! Maybe somehow you can login on-line and change it (after you get your score report by mail). Even in the worst case I don;t think it will matter "an input mistake". You can e-mail the grad secretary of the school you sent the scores and briefly explain her/him.
keywords: mixed up in my undergrad institution name, please disregard, etc. ![]()
