Hi Erin,
Although I haven't posted previously in TM, I have been around a couple of times before, someone you'd call a messageboard lurker. Problem is I just appeared in the GRE [27/01] and as you can see from the subject, it wasen't a happy experience ![]() I'd like to apply to grad schools for a MS in CS. I've been working as a professional Software Engineer ever since my graduation back in April 2001. What are my chances...? I really woun't want to go through the horrible experience before. Will I be able to convince any admission officer based on my work experience to be a bit flexible with my GRE scores? Best regards. |

Hmm..From what I know, a 680 on Q is a tad bit below the norm for CS majors...U can definetely address that in ur SOP, but, if u can u shud defintely try to retake the GRE and try to get atleast above 700 in Q, if u wanna atleast apply to the top 10 programs [^]

Hi Sri,
Thanks for the reply. Actually, I'm not looking into getting into the top 10 programmes ![]() Any accredited university will do for me, anywhere, specially in Texas, Alabama, Minnesota etc. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. P.S. Accroding to ETS's Powerprep, the mean score for comp sci. MS GRE score is 685. |
