quant 800, verbal 440

I finished my GRE just now.I got a terrible 1240.i used to get 1350 in pp but i dont know what happenned in the exam .quant was more easier than i thought(no probability questions were there). I finished both the sections with five minutes remaining.perhaps ,thats the reason i got low score in verbal.
Do you think i ve chance to get admission in a decent college with this
score? iF so,mention the name of the colleges.

First of all, congrats. It is a decent score. Quant 800 is very credible

The admission depends on your over all application package than just on your scores. So, just be cool!! However, if you feel that you can attempt it again to gain a better score, you should do it.

All i used for verbal for is bigbook and thesaurus software .Whenever i saw a new word i looked up in the thesaurus and wrote those words on the paper and frequently checked it out.I think this way u can learn a lot of words in a limited amount of time.In the real exam,dont worry about too much about time(actually i did and it didnot work out for me).It really distracts.

As for quant ,go for barrons .I think its more than enough.

quant is good . verbal is fine.
what matters is your whole application package.

u can compensate thy gre verbal by scoring good in toefl
