hey spidey,
go ahead apply to sum univs even low rank ones and if you get admit thn study for 1st sem thr and thn transfer to sum other univ. I think this thing works. forget abt wht happened now focus in forward direction. One year is a lot of time so I suggest go ahead this yr. try biophysics and other related courses. thrs always a way. dont worry. so cheer up and work ahead. Vinay |

 I m certainly gonna take your suggestions seriously...and lets c wt happens.Thas really intresting that you one apply to other universities after first sem.I know my worries are never ending,even if I get admit to the lower ranks,like FORTUNE said "low scores obstacle for getting VISA".But anyway I m impressed like you said "There's always a Way".but that does not means I ve become complacent  Thnx agn for replying![heartbeat] ------------------------- Hey FORTUNE Yaa you are rite! low scores obstacle for visa,but like vinay said one has to be hopeful.thas wt I can affrod to be[8)] thnx anyway for replyin! i guess you can do this :
>> app for low-ranked and unranked univs. >> retake GRE with enuf time for preps within 2-3 months >> if you get a better score > app for spring 2004, else opt among th apped schools gottcha, cheer up ??!!!! All the best !!!!! PS: 6 months is not a big deal n rite now, yur scores r *bad*, lemme b frank ! Think*2 bfore you act ! |

dear, I have got same condition as you had, I got just 550 in mats and 330 in verbal, im disappointed too, im having my tofle in jan, after that I plann to take the GRE agian ! vk |

Hey, actually if your other credentials are relatively good, I think that you do have chances to get in for this year. You just need to apply to some safety schools just in case, but you should be able to get in. I know many people that have actually made lower scores and were admitted to decent schools.

i also had very low scores, V510 & Q490. I had only 2 weeks to prepare coz I had too gruesome a work schedule, working night and day. before that I had no idea what GRE is and is for. I dont know if I will get admitted or be given a visa. I had had taken TOEFL and got 620. I dont know if TOEFL can make up for a low GRE score, in a small part, in anyway. please help me now. I am in dire straits and badly neer your help and info. thanks a million. I am planning to to M.Sc in Economics

Hi All,
I am new to this forum...am not a native speaker of English. International Student. I need to take my GRE again bcos the first one was a disaster Q=500 and V=350. I using Barron as a study guide... I am planning to take my 2nd test on the 28 Feb 04. Please provide me with helpful web links, advice and braindump Qs..... I will appreciate all your input...whether positive or negative.
