Q 800, V 470
The verbal score is a bit lot lower than what I usually scored on the practice tests... I scored 630 on the first and 530 on the second Powerprep. I'm not a native English speaker, but I think I can control the language well (I took graduate level philosophy courses, for example).
However, as I am applying to PhD in economics, hopefully this won't matter much. The Quantitative section was HARD. Yes, harder than Powerprep. It took quite a bit of thinking on my part, and I barely finished in time. After that was the verbal, which I felt like I did good on (?), and then another math section. At this point, I was exhausted, and I managed to get the first question wrong!!! This terrified me, as I kept getting easy questions until the end. If this was the real math section, I would've been screwed. However, the very last question was the one where you type the answer in So I knew it was the experimental. I think I did very good on the essays, but we'll see. P.S. I prepared for about 4 days. Just took a bunch of practice exams (Kaplan, Barron's, Princeton Review). Never prepared for the verbal for a second, and I guess it shows. I felt like memorizing words is a waste of my time, and I still feel that way. Last edited by pevdoki1 : 11-27-2007 at 11:43 PM. |
