need help->Gre score-1220- verbal-460,Quant -760

Hi !Erin and other TM,
I took my GRE on 1st of nov.I got 760 in maths and 460 in verbal.
I prepared from Arco's in which I used to get score in the range 1320-1400.I also took princeton, kaplan, Barrons CBT.
In power -prep I got 1320 and 1280.
I was very disappointed with my result

as I was expecting more.
I want to get admission in University of California. and especially I am interested in UC davis. I do not know with this result will I be able to get into the desired schools. Please help , I took TOEFL yesterday and got a range of 210-267. I have a GPA of 3.4 .I do not have any work experience . Is there any chance taht I will get Financial Aid?I am looking forward to do MS in Electrical Engineering . I desperately need your help ???what do I do ??? Are my scores bad!!!

Hi Archana,
Chances at UC Davis is bleak for yur credentials. With 1220,3.4gpa,210-267toefl, you can try some decent universities. To my knowledge, aid in CA schools is difficult even for earthlings with high grades !

Thanx for your reply.
please suggest some names in university of california as I can not go beyond california(i am staying in sacramento).
I know aid in california is difficult.But then I can not wait more than Fall -2004 session .By nov -2004 there will be 2 years break after my graduation.So even without aid can I get into some decent schools in california and can you name them for me .

I am a new user ,please be kind to me . Please suggest colleges in california according to my credentials.
The last date is 15 of jan for most of the colleges or even before that .I am running short of time . I have not got my official test scores . should I fill the forms without the official scores????Reply????

Hey Archana Singh,

You should wait and fill out the forms with yoiur offical test score even if the last date is 15th of Janurary for most colleges and it is a good idea that you are applyingtothoose three you posted in your above post.

You can try applyingwithout the offical test scorebut I belive it is better to wait and apply with your offical test score.

Hi Tim!
I have already applied to the 3 colleges I mentioned. I asked the colleges if I can do so with my unofficial scores and let the ets send my scores to them ,they said I can go ahead.
But my official transcripts from India are yet to come.
So only half work is done but its okay as I feel atleast I have done most of my part .
