Arrow First and Last Time! 780 Q 660 V

I was really expecting something much higher on Verbal (I know Barron's list back and forth! And Kaplan's Vocab in a box!), but I'm pleasantly surprised by the Quant score, so I'll stop whining. (Average scores for the program I'm applying to are 777 Q and 503 V). Also, I prepared for 5 weeks and I'm not a native English speaker, so I think it makes sense. Still, all the practice tests I did had shown over 700 for verbal. But in all, not bad for being 9.5 months pregnant.

Oldman, thanks. I used Kaplan's Premier and Barron's. I went over the Quant practice in both, and used Kaplan's untimed monthly quizzes to see that I could do all the math correctly, just not fast enough. So I worked on time. For that, I had to become really familiar with things like the 5-12-13 and 1-2-3 triangles at first sight and whatnot. I also did a lot of Quant practices without any scratch paper, and in many cases it saved me time, so during the real thing I could only write down the things I really needed.

Still, I ended up totally guessing the last five questions, so I have no idea where that 780 came from. It's probably my highest score, including all the practice exams. It also helped to be aware that there's always going to be a "trick" in each question, so I asked myself things like: must it be an integer? Why does this one look so straightforward? Did I consider option D long enough?

But I think I was mostly lucky. And unlucky in Verbal!

Well, anything over 600 in verbal is good, so don't be too hard on yourself. I'd be happy with a 720 q and 600 v!!!

Congratulations! You must be relieved. Best Wishes in your future endeavor.
