I haven't been through BB Quants, since I got a xerox of only the Verbal section after being dissuaded about Quants. I never followed a fixed order, but instead went with my mood.

However, in general, I started with Barron's around a year ago and continued with Kaplan, Nova, BB ending with all the software in the last month. Oh, and I made my personal flashcards from the Barron's wordlist when I was working through it, and perused them through the year.

@huzrach, I am really not the best person to advise you about Quants prep since I didn't really concentrate much on learning Quants but practicing it. I went about practicing in the order outlined above (excluding BB, of course). In the last month, I kept going through the questions on these forums. They helped me stay in touch with the basics and get my speed up.

    Hope this helps.

I am facing some problems in RC. Accuracy is low. I observed that sometimes i am prrejudiced to a particular answer option that i am too eager to reject other valid answers. can u suggest some ways to improve accuracy in RC ?

Goldust, frm what i can c u hv been constantly hitting that deck of 700 in verbl n 800 in quants. Im not amazed by ur GRE score for the simple reason u were doing weel thru out, its an amazing consistency thru out.

Which testing material u think came closer to the toughness level for both verbal n quants on the actual GRE

I think I messed up in RC's too. In a few cases, I was able to get the options down to 2, and then had to choose the one I thought best. The only way you can possibly improve is practice, practice and more practice. Go through BB RC's. They help a lot. And as far as possible, try to do the RC's on the computer. I don't know what it is, but I always found RC's simpler when I was looking at them on paper.

You are right. I was expecting to get a score of around 1400-1500 before giving the GRE. After I finished my Verbal and Quants though, all bets were off. . So, I was pleasantly surprised to see my score.

For prep, I don't think one book encompasses everything. For Verbal, I would suggest BB and Barron's. For Quants, Nova and Barron's. Note that while my Quants section was not tough, it was different from what I had been practicing. Verbal was standard stuff.

    Cogratulations for your score goldust.
For verbal part you said barron's and BB.
Barron's 3500 word list exists but how u learned words
in BB.I mean, Did you personally find words you didn't know in BB or
you used files exist on the internet that containig BB word list. If so, what
    were the files u used?

I just went through all the BB Verbal sections. Whenever I encountered a word I didn't know, I looked it up in the dictionary and added it to my wordlist. Continued doing that until all the words were covered. This was, of course, in addition to the Barron's wordlist.
